Mulled Wine

Mulled Wine

(serves 3-4)

As that cold weather moves in-it is time to amp up the heat and spice at home. I love mulled wine because it is so simple and yet perfectly divine during the depths of winter.  Enjoy with friends!

1 medium orange, cut in half

1 tablespoon whole cloves

4 cinnamon sticks

3 tablespoons honey

1 (750 ml) bottle red wine

2 ounces triple sec

2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

Fill large pot with above ingredients to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for 1o minutes on simmer to further infuse aromatics.  Serve with a wedge of sliced orange in a heat-proof glass.  Enjoy!
