Bakes in about 15 minutes
This recipe cooks in a flash and offers up a burst of flavor that transports me instantly back to the Pacific Northwest. Good for a throw-together dinner or even a celebration, this salmon is simply delicious.
1/2 salmon, de-boned, skin-on (about 3 pounds)
salt and freshly ground pepper
1/2 cup soy vay teriyaki sauce (simply my favorite)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1/2 cup sliced scallions
On a large baking sheet, add aluminum foil to cover. Wash salmon and make sure all bones are removed. Next pat salmon dry and lay skin down on baking sheet. Top with salt and pepper and cover with teriyaki sauce. Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 400. Sprinkle salmon with sesame seeds and bake in the oven until just beginning to flake (I like it at medium–which takes about 15 minutes–but check from 10 minutes on until you achieve your optimal temperature). Remove salmon from oven and top with scallions. Serve warm. Enjoy!
